Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. The people who aren't familiar with this term tend to think it's a separate island off the coast of Montreal although in actual fact, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel was born there although her time in the city wasn't long. Brugel lived in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. She wanted to become a professional dancer but because of a huge expansion, she outgrew every one of her dancing colleagues. She admitted in an article released by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I grew out of my male partners, I quit. The former dancers usually turn into acting and Brugel was not an exception. The drama instructor at her high school encouraged to Brugel into her direction that she required. She was encouraged to participate in the school's production. Following a trial her options, she was eventually the main character for Anne of Green Gables. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she took classes in theatre and was awarded an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. For the last twenty years the career of Brugel has seen her perform in more than 60 TV and film productions. Her most famous role was the one of Rita (shown in the video below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian in the season 1 actors of the series and only seen occasionally was the only Canadian.
