Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for playing in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began in his early college days. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in the television and film industry, but it was his smaller-screen roles which earned him fame and an extensive fan base. He has the ability to portray each of the characters on behalf of the police as well as the different. This is what makes him so popular. In the first television show, he played the part of a murderer. He then went on to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. His performances on small screens have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial traits is believed to be his piercing blue eyes which have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that appear rough and fascinating. He was named in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
